Volume I contains Murphy's Essay on the Life and Genius of Samuel Johnson but lacks the portrait frontispiece. Lacking half titles to all volumes. Engraved armorial bookplate of Alfred Bousfield to all front pastedowns. Slight tanning and foxing to prelims but generally clean and bright throughout. Some light rubbing/polishing marks to original boards (please see photos) but overall a VERY GOOD, HANDSOME SET.
