RR" written in ink to reverse of half-title. 8vo., blue clothbound hardback, with paper title label to spine; [xxxviii] + 426pp, indexed + 9pp of Drollery Reprints, with tissue-guarded b/w frontis plate. Label to ffep states "From the library of A. C. Swinburne. Sold by Messrs. Sotheby, June 19th-21st, 1916." One previous owner's attractive bookplate to front pastedown, plus another's small, neat nameplate, and some pencil annotation to rear endpapers. Tanning to edges, slight foxing to endpapers, boards a little soiled, rubbing and wear to outer corners and spine ends. A Good, Sound copy overall.
