Illustrated with 38 engraved plates by H. K. Browne [Phiz]. Ink gift inscription, dated 1860, to ffep has been crossed out in blue pencil. Occasional light foxing, heavier to prelims and edges of illustrations. Thumb-size loss to top edge of half title. Inner hinges stretched with endpapers split at gutters. Slight tanning to cloth of spine and light soiling/staining to boards. Small splits and wear to top and base of spine. Overall a Good Copy in scarce original cloth binding.
