Two large 8vo vols., quarter bound in black cloth with red metallic lettering, over colour pictorial paper-covered boards, in black slipcase with silver lettering and illustrations; Vol I: [xv] + 568pp, with 10 b/w illustrations; Vol II: [x] + 563pp, with 10 b/w illustrations. Both Vols are clean with no previous ownership inscriptions or annotation. NB: The top of the slipcase is cracked on one side, but remains sturdy both on its own and when the books are displayed inside it. Overall a VG set in a Good, Sound - but split - slipcase.
