FIRST EDITION 2 Volumes, complete. 8vo. hardbacks in half contemporary tan calf, black title labels, gilt to spine and marbled boards. All edged mottled brown. 339pp. and 229pp. Engraved armorial bookplates to front pastedowns and old ink signatures to tops of title pages. Pencil notes to rear pastedown of Volume I. Light soiling to endpapers. Calf beginning to split at hinges on both volumes with but binding still strong. Some damage and rubbing to spines with slight loss to top of Volume II (please see photos). Some rubbing to corners and marbled boards. Overall a Good, Sound Set.
