Marbled endpapers. TEXT IN FRENCH. Title page, [xxiv], 437pp., [25]. Illustrated with 2 (of 3) full-page and 3 folding engravings plus 8 vignettes including that to title page, all by Cornelis Martinus Vermeulen. Small modern bookplate to front pastedown. Occasional light handling marks. One folding engraving has a repaired closed tear. Slight rubbing to edged of spine and corners, else a VERY GOOD, HANDSOME COPY.
