A collection of 9 Plays and 6 Essays bound in 2 Volumes. 12mo. (approx. 16.5 x 10cm) hardbacks bound in 18th century style quarter tan calf with raised bands, dark brown morocco title labels, gilt to spines and marbled boards. All except the Tragedy of Lady Jane Gray have titles pages and most of the plays have engraved frontispieces excepting Sir Courtly Nice, The Beaux Stratagem and The Drummer. Small modern bookplates to each front pastedown and elegantly hand-written list of contents to early blanks. Occasional light foxing. A VERY GOOD SET.
