Now newly corrected and augmented. [Third Edition]. Small 4to. (approx. 18.5 x 13cm) hardback in half dark brown calf with raised bands, title label, decorative gilt to spine and marbled boards. Probably an 18th century binding with contemporary endpapers. [12], 60pp. Text plus 36pp. blank in same stock as endpapers. Main text in black letter with decorative initial caps and 16 wood-cut illustrations within the text. A clean copy with no previous owners' markings or inscriptions. Title page has been reinforced at the hinge, possibly before rebinding, with slight loss to top edge and small hole at foot of page (please see photos). Original 16th century pages very soft and somewhat worn at foredge. Light soiling and occasional old worming to 18th century blanks at rear. Calf of spine and corners rubbed and cracked. Small circular sticker with handwritten date, 1883, affixed to upper board. Marbled paper covering to lower board rather rubbed with some loss (please see photos). That of upper board beginning to peel at edges. Overall a SOUND COPY.
