Two Volumes, 8vo., in full calf gilt, with raised bands, gilt decoration, and twin title labels to spine, all edges marbled and with marbled endpapers; Vol I: [vii] + 413pp; Vol II: [viii] + 410pp; Both Vols with engraved portrait frontis, plus one foldout plate to Vol I. Neat ink gift inscription dated 1857 to early blank of Vol I, within an engraved device that includes the Eton College motto. Both Vols have foxing to prelims and to the last few pages. Boards have a few small marks and scuffs, spines and edges a little worn and rubbed. Overall a Very Good set.
