Two Volumes, 8vo., in full calf gilt, with raised bands, gilt decoration, and twin title labels to spine, all edges marbled and with marbled endpapers; Vol I: 312pp; Vol II: 316pp, indexed. Engraved frontis and decorative title page to each Volume. Vol I has a neat ink gift inscription dated 1857 to early blank within an engraved device that includes the Eton College motto. Both Vols have foxing to endpapers and to the first and last few pages. Boards have a few small marks, edges a little chipped and worn. Overall a Very Good set.
