Three Volumes, 8vo., in full calf gilt, with raised bands, gilt decoration, and twin title labels to spine, all edges marbled and with marbled endpapers; Vol I: [xx] + 496pp; Vol II: [xx] + 441pp Vol III: [xvii] + 459pp, indexed. All three Vols with engraved portrait frontis. Vol I has a neat ink gift inscription dated 1857 to early blank within an engraved device that includes the Eton College motto. All three Vols have foxing to prelims and to the last few pages. Boards have a few small marks, spines and edges a little worn and rubbed. Overall a Very Good set.
