8vo. half contemporary mottled calf hardback with red title label, gilt, and marbled boards. Original endpapers, the ffep being detached but present. Lacking first few pages including title and publication/edition details. Starts at p.19, ending at p.965 with 1793 as the last date in the New Chronological Table. 22 Maps present, starting with Europe, plus a Mercator Chart of the World, all folding. A clean copy with no previous owners' markings or inscriptions. Outer edge of World Chart a little stained, the other maps with occasional light foxing, else in very good condition excepting Scandinavia with a crease and small closed tear. Front inner hinge weak and holding by binding threads. Spine and boards somewhat rubbed and worn (please see photos). Overall a Good Copy, rare in containing its maps in such good condition.
