Fifth Edition, containing upwards of 9000 additional places. Small 8vo. (approx. 19 x 12cm) hardback in full diced calf, rebacked using original boards. Black title label, gilt to spine. Original endpapers. 941pp., illustrated with large folding map of England and Wales at front and 6 further folding plates featuring 7 maps. Old engraved bookplate to front pastedown and modern bookplate to rear pastedown. Endpapers lightly soiled. Endapers split at front and rear inner hinges (presumably when re-spined) but binding nice and firm. Occasional light foxing. Slight rubbing to outer corners of original boards. A VERY GOOD COPY.
