Two Volumes, 8vo., in full calf gilt, with raised bands and gilt decoration to spines, and gilt line borders to boards and decorative gilt to their foredge, all edges marbled, and marbled endpapers to Vol II only; Vol I: [xxv] +560pp; Vol II: [xv] + 584pp, indexed; engraved portrait frontis to each volume. Neat ink owner name dated 1858 to corner of ffep of both. Both volumes have light foxing and browning to first and last few pages, boards of both have some damp damage which also affects the first few pages, including the frontis. Light wear to outer edges and corners, spines slightly rubbed,score mark to front board of Vol II. A Good set overall.
