4 Volumes, Complete 4to. full contemporary tan calf with raised bands, Dark brown title and volume number labels, decorative gilt to spine and decorative gilt borders to boards. Marbled endpapers. Engraved frontispiece and title page with vignette illustration as well as purely typographic title page to each volume. Illustrated with single page Map of England and Wales dated 1820 (title pages dated 1819), 42 County Maps, and Maps of North Wales and South Wales (total 45 maps) along with many engraved topographical plates. A clean set with no previous owners' markings or inscriptions. Small, elegant Bookseller and Binder's label to front pastedown of each volume. Occasional light foxing. Foredge of one gather in Volume I slightly proud and ragged but not affecting text or images. Closed tear across half of the title page of Volume IV. Outer hinges beginning to split in a couple of places but bindings still nice and firm. A few light scuffs and slight soiling to covers. Overall a VERY GOOD, HANDSOME SET.
