Large 8vo., half-bound in dark brown morocco gilt, with gilt emblem to spine and upper cover, t.e.g., [xxii] + 505pp, indexed, with 46 plates, 17 of which are in colour, plus text illustrations. Neat ink owner name to reverse of blank prelim. Foxing to edges, endpapers, prelims and occasionally lightly throughout, danmpstaining affecting top outer corner from pp496 through to rear board, wear and rubbing to the leather binding at corners, edges of spine and spine itself. A Good copy overall.
