FIRST EDITIONS 7 Volumes + associated ephemera. 8vo. hardbacks in blue cloth, gilt, except Vol. I bound in half tan roan, decorative gilt, with pale pink cloth boards. All volumes illustrated with plates and maps except Vol. I which just has 6 colour and b/w fold out maps. Occasional light foxing, mainly to earlier volumes and foredges of Vols. III and IV. Occasional pencil notes in margins and last volume The Queens Own Buffs has ink name of a member of the Queen's Own Buffs to ffep. Plus 16 pieces of associated ephemera - please see photos. Spine of Vol. I rather rubbed and worn and boards lightly soiled, All other volumes in lovely condition. Overall a VERY GOOD, HANDSOME SET.
