FIRST EDITION Small 4to. (approx. 24.5 x 19cm) hardback recased using in original brown buckram, decorative gilt. t.e.g. 240pp., illustrated with 8 b/w plates plus 2 plates (including frontispiece) with sepia photos pasted in. Couple of booksellers' catalogue entries pasted to blank facing half-title. Ink inscription about being one of the first publications to use photographs to top of half title and following blank where top corner of half-title has been neatly removed. Modern armorial bookplate to front pastedown. One plate detached but present. Some foxing, occasionally heavy. Splitting to inner hinge of front endpaper but binding firm. Some light wear and rubbing to covers, particularly spine edges. Overall a Good, Sound Copy of a scarce title.
