Lrge 8vo., red clothbound hardback gilt, with gilt lettersing to upper cover: [xl] + 1088pp, profusely illustrated in b/w and colour. A clean copy with no previous ownership inscriptions or annotation. Light foxing to edges and endpapers, worm damage to edges of front endpapers, dampstaining affecting last 200pp, with pages from 1067 onwards adhered at corners, and 1083/1084 a little torn, boards also damp affected, fading to spine and top of rear board. A Sound study copy.
