With many b/w engravings within the text. Ink gift inscription, dated 1864, to ffep and later green ink inscription to front pastedown. Occasional ink notes in margins. Blank facing title page removed. Binding a little stretched, but holding, with splits to front inner hinge. Occasional light foxing and light soiling to front endpapers. Binding rather faded and worn with a few small ink spots (please see photos). Overall a Good Sound Copy.
