FIRST EDITION 8vo. hardback, half-bound in tan calf with black title label, gilt, to spine and marbled boards. 322pp. Ink name and date (1832) to ffep but heavily erased, resulting in three small holes. Engraved armorial bookplate of Sir Thomas Neame to ffep, and woodcut bookplate, dated 1901 to front pastedown. Occasional light foxing, mainly to endpapers. Hinge between spine and upper board beginning to split but still attached. Spine rather dry and faded with slight damage. Boards somewhat rubbed and edgeworn. Overall a Good, Sound Copy.
