LIMITED EDITION 8vo. sewn softback, printed by hand, on hand-made paper. Pages unnumbered. With frontispiece and two vignette wood-engravings, drawn and engraved by Philip Hagreen, founder member of the Society of Wood Engravers and a fellow artist with Eric Gill at Ditchling and Capel-Y-Ffin. Enclosed is a handwritten invoice from Philip Hagreen (with his wood-cut address stamp) for a bronze crucifix, made for Michael Trevor Williams (General Manager of the hotel in the Welsh fantasy village of Portmeirion). Michael Trevor-Williams signature and date (June 1937) in ink to ffep. No other markings or inscriptions. Internally bright and clean. Paper wraps somewhat aged with faint stain to lower edge and light edgewear. Overall a VERY GOOD COPY.
