FIRST EDITION 3 Volumes Large 8vo. hardbacks, three-quarter bound in brown calf with raised bands and dark green title labels, gilt to spines, with brown buckram-bound boards. All edges and endpapers marbled. 935, 956 and 740pp. All volumes profusely illustrated with full page engravings and woodcuts in text. A clean set with no previous owners' markings or inscriptions. Occasional light foxing to plates, otherwise internally clean. Heavy foxing to prelims. Spines and corners rather rubbed with slight surface loss and a few small dents. Boards somewhat rubbed and soiled. Overall a Good Set.
