FIRST EDITION 8vo. hardback bound in full green morocco, decorative gilt to spine and boards and gilt dentelles. a.e.g. 370pp., illustrated with 6 colour and 5 b/w full page, tissue-guarded plates, plus 11 b/w line drawings in text. A clean copy with no previous owners' markings or inscriptions. Inner hinges of endpapers at front and rear have been neatly reinforced with green tape. Inner hinges weak on following pages but firm throughout the rest of the copy. Top corners slightly bumped resulting in very faint crease to top corners of pages. Binding rather rubbed and worn with some fading to spine. Overall a Good+ Copy.
