First Thus. Small 4to. red clothbound hardback with decorative gilt titles to spine and upper board, in scarce, original dust jacket with colour plate pasted on. Top edge dyed dark grey. Illustrated endpapers. 207pp. with many head and tail pieces in text, 16 tipped-in colour plates, with captioned tissue-guards and 8 full-page 2 or 3 colour illustrations, all in excellent condition. Previous bookseller's description in pencil to inside front cover. No other markings or inscriptions. Occasional light foxing, slightly heavier to prelims and foredge. Slight weakness to inner hinge at pages 72-73. A small patch of lower corner of red cloth of spine slightly faded and light edgewear to lower edge. Dust jacket somewhat soiled and tanned with some edgewear and small area of loss to lower corner of spine and upper board. Overall a VERY GOOD, BRIGHT COPY IN GOOD, SCARCE DUST JACKET.
