Large folding Geological map of Dorset as frontispiece. Ink inscription, reading "Mr. Clement Reid with the Author's very kind regards, Feb. 24 1899". Contains loose handwritten letter, dated 1900, from the dedicatee concerning where to find certain molluscs. 2 previous owners' bookplates to inside front cover and ffep. Very light wear to edges and tiny hole in centre of spine (please see photos). Overall a VERY GOOD COPY.
