Folio., (33cm x 25cm) red clothbound hardback, gilt, with gilt and black illustrated upper board, a.e.g., [viii] + 339pp, indexed, with many b/w illustrations and a colour map. Previous owner's gift inscription, dated 1881, to early blank. Occasional foxing, heaviest to the first and last few pages, some scuffing to ffep, boards rather rubbed at corners and spine ends, spine and border of front board darkened, a fe small marks to both boards. A Good, Sound copy overall.
