SUD-EST DE LA FRANCE (Postcard with Views)

Small 8vo. postcard with one side made to look like a Baedeker Guide in dark red cloth, gilt, with a gilt edged frame cut out, showing a colour view of Cannes. Rear of postcard appears normal with a French 10 centime stamp which has been franked with the postmark reading "Cannes 1907". At some point the two sides of the postcard have been glued together but are becoming unstuck at one end, revealing that the colour view of Cannes is the front cover of a concertina-folding set of views, the others being in b/w. Ink inscription on front of postcard reads "Love from Lola, Feb. 21, 1907".Vertical crease to colour view. Light wear to edges and some soiling to rear of postcard. Overall an interesting curiosity in Good Condition.
